    Sump Pump Conundrum

Do any of y'all have a "wet" enough basement that you run a sump pump down there?
If so, what do you do when the power goes out and the water starts to rise?

My "disability" does not make me "disabled".

If I had one, I'd have a plug in so it hooked up to a generator.

I'm glad you all have our rain!!
Except for the heat, we haven't had any rain for about a month.

Not good for the forest, but nice not having rain.

No basements here in my neck of the woods. Good luck with it though. I'm sure there's some kind of alarm too so you can at least get a warning when you need to take action before your stuff is floating.

    Uhhh, I believe I'd invest in a gas-powered model, as a back-up.

I think must folks around here have battery backups in case they go out for a few hours. Anything longer than that and you need a generator. I think after the deracho last summer those whole house jibs gave been selling like hot cakes.

    Basement?

Not enough dynamite on earth to have basements here.
WARNING - Due to the rising costs of ammunition, warning shots will no longer be given.
