    Ready or not...

Not sure if anyone is interested or not but thought I would share some more photos of the wonder that is Glacier. I truly cannot wait to get back out there and see even more of that wonderful countryside.

This first batch is from the Logan's Pass-Hidden Lake-St. Marys/Virginia Falls areas:

These are from the Many Glacier area where we did the 10-mile roundtrip hike to Iceberg Lake:

    Nice pictures Len.
The older I get, the better I was. I also forget my password and have to have Len reset it for me

jb: yeah the four biggest members of the family all had our Counter Attack bear spray canisters plus I was carrying a 1911.

I realize the .45 acp isn't considered good bear medicine, and after having been within 40 yards of one of the 3 grizzlies we saw I would agree, it was a big of a pistol as I could get my hands on so I took it. Plan was to bear spray first with the Springfield being ready on-deck.

I love the pics of the Big Horn and the Mountain Goat. Those are just about the only two large mammals I didn't see when I was out in Montana and Wyoming last summer.

Sunshine - the wife and kids had some and really liked it but I only had the huckleberry syrup and ice cream and... Boy they sure are proud of those huckleberries.

That being said and though they were good, when given the chance, and we were, to eat wild huckleberries or the wild Thimbleberries the thimbleberries won in my book. Had never heard of those before going to Glacier but sure which I could find some to plant in my garden.

This should have a NSFW in the thread title. It makes the day really long sitting in an office after looking at those picks.

    Love that place.
A man gets one great horse and one great dog in his life, a damn lucky man might get two.
