    It is finished.....

Doc arrived at our home at 9:30 this morning to put our little Papillon asleep.
My wife chose to not be present.

I fed her favorite meal before he arrived, and petted and loved on her.
He gave her the twilight sleep, first, and she just dozed off in my arms.
Then, he administered the final dose.
She went peacefully with no problems, whatsoever.

I held up fine, until I started placing her toys in the little casket that I had made for her.
One of the hardest things I've ever done.
Wifey is holding up better than I expected....better than me, in fact.

It's not an easy thing you did, my friend. A very good thing though.
If we all threw our problems in a pile, and you saw everyone else's problems-- you'd take yours back.

Sad business, but one we all sign on for up front. My condolances.

Sorry for your loss Eddie. Our dogs are just as much part of our family as kids.
You have to feed, protect and love them just the same.
The dogs as for nothing in return but love and companionship.

Worst part about being an animal owner, is they don't outlive us and we have to make judgement calls for them.

You did the right thing, for your dog.

    My condolences.

Next few weeks will be the hardest. It gets easier but you will NEVER forget your memories!!!
