What an efficient postal service we run...

    No wonder its bankrupt

I'm waiting on a delivery and have been "tracking" it on the USPS website.

Just checked it, and here's what it says:

"Your item arrived at the Post Office at 9:07 am on August 22, 2013 in SOUTH HILL, VA 23970. The Postal Service expects to deliver the item on Wednesday, August 21, 2013. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later."

Hmmmmm.... It arrived at 9:07 today, but the USPS expects it to be delivered ... Umm... YESTERDAY!!!??!!

What's the problem? Sounds like pretty good service to me. Heck, you'll receive it a day before it arrives! What more could you ask of them?

Here's an even better post office screw-up....my buddy is our postmaster....he told me that if I mail a letter here to a local address, that my letter is picked up that afternoon by a mail truck.

Then, it's sent to Jackson, MS 95 miles away....

Then, it's sent back to Grenada, MS 97 miles from Jackson....

Then finally, it's returned back to my hometown 52 miles from Grenada....

My letter traveled a total of 244 miles, and my buddy, then sticks it in the recipient's box, which was 5 feet away from his desk, to begin with.
