    Cal Ripken says he wants to manage. The Nats are looking for a manager. How cool would that be?

    Honestly, I have my doubts that it's a good idea. I grew up a a Cal and O's fan and still follow them somewhat. (I even went to Cooperstown for Cal's HOF induction.). I'm just not sure a HOFer with no managerial experience is the right way to go.

    And there's that whole third baseman thing. Not too many former thirds made good manager. Bobby Cox is the only one I can think of.
