Your neat square black rocks... I think it's Columbite. Both these certainly look like it. http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Fi...bite-37837.jpg http://www.ebay.com/itm/HUGE-COLUMBI...item5d3ecddf69

I don know. The ones I find are as smooth as if someone cut or ground them. Those look sorta heavy with a grain to them.

Mail 'em to Thump. He can eat for 9 weeks on what you have in your hand.

That's Limonite. Not much market for it. I can list my toenail clippings on eBay for $11,998,000 ... but that doesn't mean squat.

Let me give youse dufes an eBay lesson. Find your product using the search function on eBay. Look over to the left side of the page and look under "Show Only," scan down to "Sold Listings" and click on it. NOW ... it'll take you to the page that shows what has sold and for how much. If you'll notice, there is not one "Limonite" or "Devil's Dice" listed.

I'd suggest not mailing them to me ... 50% commission on $0.00 is ... ummm ... well, about what Co9 gets paid to fix our site problems!

We weren't really looking at them as something to sell. I've got lots of them that I've picked up around the NC farm since I was a kid. I showed them to Arty the other day. Neither of us knew what they were so we were hunting up an ID on them. The whole eBay thing was just something that showed up in the search.
I know better than to ship them to you and expect splitting profit. I know my half would get lost at a local Florida KFC before it got mailed... ;-)
Just some neat perfectly squared rocks that look like they were cut at a jeweler. Not something formed natural.
    Take care, Captain

Yeah, I didn't think you were gonna finance your retirement with them ... I just needed to lead up to a point I could make a smart-assed comment.

I found some embedded in quartz when I was a kid at my grandparents place in N.C. We didn't have the I-net back then so I had to dig through an old World Book Encyclopedia. I was convinced I'd found my own secret emerald mine!

I've found LOTS of quartz and have saved a bunch of them over the years. I've got a couple that will weigh 12 to 15 pounds. One smokey and one clear.
