Maybe it's just the way it looks in the pics, but that deer don't look big enough to have antlers like that to me. I'm not saying it's a fake, but that's a lot of headgear for such a small bodied deer.

DD - These are Blue Ridge Mountain deer not those cornfed monsters you guys hunt out in the mid West.

I know that we are spoiled by the size of our deer and they don't get that big everywhere, but they still look funny to me with antlers that big and a small skinny body.

A few years ago my mom was wintering in Florida, (no comments Thump) and when I was visiting her and a couple of my uncles that live down there too, they took me Homosassa to a wildlife park. They had a bunch of deer there and I asked one of the workers if they were all yearlings or fawns. They looked at me funnny and said that those deer were all several years old. I doubt the largest of them would have field dressed at much over 110 pounds. To me, that is a 1 1/2 year old doe. A 1 1/2 or 2 1/2 year old buck will all be at average 180 dressed out.

I killed a deer two years ago that weighed 188 field dressed at the processor. They were amazed at the size of the thing. I know it's the figgest bodied deer I've ever seen. Around these parts 150lbs is a big buck and most does won't go over 100. Florida deer are even smaller. (I hear everything is smaller that way in Florida. Right Thump?)

Beautiful deer Arty. I agree that those chocolate antlers are out of this world. You won't see a prettier deer in many a year on the stand. At least where I hunt.
