    Burn It Up

I've always wanted to try wood burning, but for one reason or another never got around to it. Well, today I decided I was going to just plain make time for it. So here is my very first'est attempt. It is a Golden Eagle just in case y'all can't tell. I'm not blown away by it, but for a first attempt I can live with it. Hopefully I will just get better and better as I learn what I can and can't do with this stuff.

LW, truth is, when I look at my work I mostly see the mistakes. Sometimes it's very hard for me to see past that.

    Beautiful work!!!
What kinda tool you use, Sky???
Ive made some cutting boards and other stuff and just used my oxy-acet torch by just barely running it over the wood to give it some darkened highlight areas.

    That is really cool!!!

I could do that if I wanted to... all except the part that looks like an eagle.. Just very cool Sky.
If you turn a dog loose to hunt – you’d better to be ready to deal with what he trees.

And since I have "Treasurer" experience ... I could run the cash register!

I had a wood burning kit like that when I was a kid too. Looked just like a soldering iron, but with different tips. It "seems" like it may have been a Cub Scout project ... don't remember. I also don't know what I made with it or what it ended up looking like.

    Nice work! As usual ...
