A Big Salute
To all veterans everywhere!
This is my grandpa Barrett, whom I'm named after, and my grandma Gertrude from my Mom's side of the family. At the time it was taken they had three sons in WWII and eventually had a total of four serving all at the same time when my Uncle John enlisted. All six of their sons served in the military. All four of the boys in my Dad's family served, two of them in WWII and my Dad in the Korean war. When I think of duty, I always think of what families in those days endured and how many of that generation answered the call. As a country, we own our own destiny and it will only be a successful one if we all do the work that has to be done to preserve it. Thank you veterans and families of veterans.

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body.
But rather, to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming...WOW, What a Ride!"
