I'd use the fishing forum but I need someone

to actually read this question before Christmas

Where would you point me if I wanted to build a spinning rod from a kit? I have no supplies so would need a complete kit. I'd like to not have to buy any specialized tools, even if building the rod would make me appreciate a good wrapping tool or other cool tool. I have all the usual garage tools.
If we all threw our problems in a pile, and you saw everyone else's problems-- you'd take yours back.

I haven't built anything or awhile - but - I'd probably start with Mudhole.. I've been on the phone with them and they know their stuff. Bought several things from them. Cabela's actually has some pretty good kits. Have you built a rod before?
If you turn a dog loose to hunt – you’d better to be ready to deal with what he trees.

Netcraft is a great catalog, has blanks, eyelets, etc. I recommend it.
