I figured out a long time ago that the only kinds of new years resolutions I can ever stick to are ones that have some enjoyment tied to them. Like several years ago my resolution was to fish in every month of the year. Since then, I'll bet I've not missed over two months in any given year. And then there was the one to learn to fish with ultralite spinning tackle vs baitcasters. Done, fini, and its about all I fish with now, much more enjoyably thank you. And then there was the skinny water resolution and I've fished much more local, good, clear water since then.
This year I'm going all out, and resolving to learn to fly fish this year. It might get me into big trouble as new phases like with me usually means A bunch of new stuff has to be snuck into the garage. But hey, its cheaper and easier that losing those 20pounds i've needed to the last twenty years.
What's yore's?
Ps....oh and read more. That's an every year one. Already got a greatstart on the years with the Brown Dog novellas. Good stuff! And written by an Amurican too!
