    I like cake, but day'um.....

Stopped by sis-in-law's house for short visit today....served us some coconut cake, and was honest about it, and told us she bought it and had it shipped from a bakery in north MS....I couldn't believe she actually paid that much for a frigging cake, so later, I pulled up the website.
It didn't taste one bit better than the $18 dollar cakes from our local bakery.
Day'um, I need to learn how to bake a cake!!!

    Name: Coconut cake (#03)
    Price: $55.00, plus shipping

Here ya go, Cap....they got all flavors.

I'd say that equates to about $2 bucks a bite.

When the partner that my Mrs. works for closes a deal, she orders a cake from her favorite bakery for all of the folks at the closing. I have had a slice or two from some of them, and lemmmmeee tell ya....they are gooo-oooo-oood. Di says they run about $40 plus delivery.

I'm not a cake person near as much as I am pie person. I don't know if you have a Tippins near where you live but they make the absolute best pies you'll ever eat that you don't make yourself. I prolly give more than a few dollars for a slice of a Tippin's pie. We had an apple from there last New Years eve and I think I ate most of it myself.

I'd never pay that much money for a cake.
I don't care how good it is.
