That's pretty clever. I don't wear a ring, but if someone gets a ring stuck on their finger that little trick might just work.

Got fat, removed wedding ring, don't wear rings, can't stand 'em. Ringophobic. But if that happened to my wife, etc., I don't know off hand where I'd find such an elastic string.
