    Finally..

Waited until the 1st of December for these things to prime up then set a half-dozen snares. Two months and five coyotes later..

Weighed not quite 25#. Season ends Friday..

These were super rare until about 15 years ago. Now we got about too many of them. Limit is one per license per year.

So, you're allowed one per license. What if you set your half-dozen snares and caught a half dozen cats?

Well Thump.. you have to turn them loose. Don't that sound like fun? If you don't think you can handle it or the cat is dead or injured - The DNR comes and takes it away. A foot-hold wouldn't be too bad but I think getting one out of a snare would be danged near impossible.

Wow. No daily limit here and 20 in possession. That is one beautiful cat. Someone told me bobcat was up to $140? That true?

Western cats can bring two - three times that Barry. Like coyotes, ours aren't quite as desirable here.

I'm a little envious. I would really like to get a bobcat one of these days. Way to go. Looks like he has real nice fur.

Hide, I've never snared a cat, only yotes and other unwanted critters....but, if a cat is any more dangerous than a pizzed-off possum to get outta a snare, I want no part of them.
I was trying to be soft-hearted, and turn the possum loose, but ended up, having to put a Chuck Norris move on him....but, not before he chewed up a good pair of leather gloves with my fingers inside.

lol.. You know eddie a possum is vastly underrated as a fighter. They have 50 teeth and what runs down either side of that enormous sagittal crest are two muscles about the size of your thumb. Bastards can bite.
