    Good Day's Work

Wife is out of town and the kids had another snow day. So, I was stuck working from home again today. On Thursday, I made a chili cornbread casserole in one of my cast iron dutch ovens and it ate a bunch of the seasoning off. (I hadn't really been happy with it for a while. So, I wasn't surprised.) In between conference calls I scrubbed it down with kosher salt and scotch bright and re-seasoned it. (Actually, re-seasoned it three times until I was happy with it.) Since my Mrs. isn't here to complain about the smell and it got so good to me, I reseasoned a bunch of other CI as well.

Wallaby damned. I made a cornbread mexican casserole in my dutch oven on Wednesday.

It fun takin' care of and cookin with that stuff but it does require some elbow grease now and again.

Just be careful of the CI group on Facebook. I followed a Hide Hunter post over there and have been learning more than I need to know. Those are the posting-est bunch of folks I've ever come across.
