    Pert Near Good Stuff

CD said something about whiskey and a ball game the other day and I've been wanting a taste of some firewater ever since. So at quittin' time I poured myself a big glass of Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey over ice and just had the first few sips. Wooooooooieeeee! That's some good shit Maynard.

The Old Fashioned is an IBA Official Cocktail made by muddling sugar with bitters then adding alcohol, such as whiskey or brandy, and a twist of citrus rind.

    Least, that's what Wiki says.

My favorite Old Fashion recipe comes from my brother-in-law. It uses maple syrup (the real stuff) instead of sugar and bacon infused bourbon that he was enough to supply along with the recipe.

You got it Bucky, my Grandpa drank brandy old fashions and taught me how to make them for him when I was 14. Now I like them every once in a while, I was out of brandy but I have several bottles of Makers Mark so I used It. CD, I have seen the bacon recipe before, did your BIL make his own bacon infused bourbon or buy it?

He makes it. It doesn't sound too hard from the way he described it.
