Too Damned Much of a Coincidence

When NASCAR is mourning the loss of Dale E Sr, Dale Jr goes and wins the Pepsi 400 at Daytona that same year in a story book finish.

When attendance and viewership is down and NASCAR needs to broaden their appeal, Danica Patrick suddenly and surprisingly in storybook fashion wins the Daytona 500 poll.

and now, the first year the number 3 is back on the track, he wins the Daytona 500 poll in storybook fashion.

Its all too coincidental. Sorry. I ain't friggin buying it this time.

Actually, if nascar would have given Dale Jr some nitrous oxide a few years back they would be more popular$$$

Well, it ain't all that important to win the poll ... now the POLE ... THAT means sumpin'!

(sorry, I'm still working on my Jr. Noticer badge)

*** You see what I did there Lenster? *** (JR. noticer?)

Waaay too much money, reputation and other parties involved to "fix" a race Posty ... it would be next to impossible in this day and age.

I was having this same conversation with a mechanic friend today. He is convinced it was rigged. Both Danica last year and the 3 car this year, and I'm leaning that way too.
