Yesterday would have been the best day to fish. It was a warn, low wind, blue bird day with a rain front coming in. But I was stuck at a hunt club work day.... :-(
So I got up WAY before daylight this morning and hauled butt to my lease lake and put in. Got to fish till about 8:30 before the rain hit they were still biting so I stayed with them for a little while in the rain. But it was a cold blowing rain so I packed it in.
Did manage to boat 17 nic'uns
One thing I noticed is that the camera really don't show the size if fish well. :-)
Looks like the next 3 days are going to be solid rain which is a bummer cause I feel sure the race will be rained out.... :-(

ONE THING YOU NEED..........and you maybe, MAYBE have a year or two to get by without it...........but a real crappie fisherman wears a straw hat. That's to distinguish him on the lake, from afar, from the hair-on-fire bass fisherman (may their tribe decrease), and to keep the sun off your balding head.
