    Niner Update --- Sunday 3-16-14

    OK, just a quick note......

They put me on an oral steroid that has killed the sciatic pain, and opened a window of opportunity for the focused radiation to begin.....hopefully sometime this week. The surgery would ONLY have been to take the pressure off of those nerves.

The truth of the matter is that they've already dealt the best cards in the deck, and once used the risk/benefit of using it again is limited. The chemo's they've used are too powerful to even think about trying again, and the past 4 surgeries have left so much scar tissue where the tumor is (inside my spinal column) that my neurosurgeon (who is one of, if not THE best in the world on tumors of the spine) is very hesitant to go back in there because he knows he cannot get all of it out.

So the next card in the deck is this focused radiation, which historically does not "hurt" giant cell osteosarcoma all that much. But they think it my knock it back, so we're gonna give it a try and keep praying for the best. We'll probably meet with the radiation doc in the next day or so.

More news to come as it comes in.....

Can sure use those prayers and good vibes set to max levels!!
My "disability" does not make me "disabled".

Cranking them up to 11, my friend!
If we all threw our problems in a pile, and you saw everyone else's problems-- you'd take yours back.
