Sorry, but no pictures.
For the past 12 or so years we have been getting together with 2 other couples that we hunt turkeys with for an ethnic food night and this past Saturday we hosted this year's event. One of the couples didn't get in on the first few years so we decided to revisit our first ethnic night by doing Chinese.
Normally we do the whole gamet including appetizers, main dishes, desserts, and the alcoholic beverage of the area. This year we skipped out on the dessert but only because we were all too stuffed to eat. We also skipped out on the local alcohol but we made up for it with American favorites. No pre-made stuff just yummy goodness made by those in the bunch. Anyway the list of things I can remember eating are:
- Fried Wantons
- Crab Ragoons
- Firecracker Shrimp
- Peking Duck
- Kung Pow Chicken and Shrimp
- some Beef and Broccoli dish
- Shrimp and Scallop Potstickers
- Egg rolls
- 5 spice chicken wings
Dessert was going to be deep-fried watermelon (doesn't sound like Chinese food to me either) but again too full.
Man, I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.
