I stayed up till after the ball game was over but couldn't hang for the whole thing. Did it do what it was supposed to do?

I missed the eclipse part, but the moon was still pretty red when I got up for work this morning.

Clear here ... but I dozed off.

Why don't they plan these eclipse thingies at more convenient times?

I got up at 2:48.. Total eclipse.. It was pretty cool. Checked back about half hour or so later and it was about 3/4 over with. It would have been enjoyable to watch the whole thing - but not at 3 a.m. .. 26 degrees .. standing on the deck in my skivvy shorts.

Those are some cool pics Trav. Did you take those with just a regular zoom?

I didn't take those a friend of mine did but I think he just used a 300MM zoom on his DSLR.

I get the NASA Channel on my Dish....they set up their cameras on the moon event from 2am to 5 am....I set the DVR to record the whole thing, and went to bed....pretty cool to fast-forward it, and watch the whole event unfold in about 5 minutes.

I didn't mention in the first post that there was about an inch of snow on the ground when I woke up this morning. Sure hope that's the last of it. This winter just won't seem to end.

Those are some real nice "MoonSongs". Here's a couple more....not quite as "classic", but nice little ditties nonetheless.

Here's one from a local boy from down here that made the big time...

And...one from one of Cap'ns buddies that made a few hit songs a while back....

I'm with Cappy on CCR ... 'bout wore out my dang 8-track listening to that.

Growing up, this was one of my dad's favorites and HE 'bout wore out his 33 1/3 Stereophonic LP listening to this:
