    An Absolutely Perfect Morning!

I almost never keep trout. I don't have any issues with folks that enjoy keeping and eating them, I just personally do not care for the taste so I let them all go. However, my parents were up in Montana this weekend along with all my children, for my 3rd oldest son's high school graduation. My parent love trout and asked if I could catch some so they could take some back to Utah with them. So my oldest son and I went to a local creek that is not well known to the public on opening morning. The weather was perfect, the fish were biting, and we had the whole creek to ourselves. (I LOVE MONTANA!) Anyway we both had our limits by 9:15am. I have to say it is an absolute joy to have your kids finally old enough to be hunting and fishing partners rather babysitting expeditions. I loved every minute with my son and wish he lived closer, but right now gaining his college education is far more important. It's still hard for me to believe that he's grown up so fast and only has a little over a year of college left. Anyway, I have to admit it was kind'a fun to keep a few fish for a change and it made my parents very happy. It was a great weekend.

It really does seem like it was just a year or two ago that he was my little tiny fishing buddy. However, we've both grown quite a bit since this photo was taken. He's got a lot taller and hairy. Me, I got rounder and I'm now clean shaven. Heck, this site has been around long enough that when a lot of you first saw pictures of my son or met him in person, he wasn't a whole lot older than this. Man, times flies!

What a perfect morning looks like.

Good lookin' kid only his camo don't match!

that's an awesome memory right there for both of you. It won't be long before he's busy raising his own youngins and times like those will be way too far in between.

Of course his camo doesn't match, I've taught him well. BBP, I'm really starting to realize that "time factor" with both my children and my parents. My time with both is growing short. My kids are growing up and moving out and my parents are growing quite old and frankly, I know they won't be on the planet for too many more years. I value every minute I have left. Here's the whole crazy bunch.

Very cool... time flies by us at an alarming rate, that's for sure!
If we all threw our problems in a pile, and you saw everyone else's problems-- you'd take yours back.

    Love it!

With my oldest graduating this coming Sunday, I too am learning about how time works.

Great advice: Cherish your time together.
