I'm guessing you guys are getting tired of hearing about Bailey :)

But she just keeps making me more and more proud with her approach to life.

She's a decent student, not 4.0 but she works very hard. I passed on a gene or two that makes studying VERY difficult and she's adapted to it and put system in place to ensure she's as successful as she can be. She learned about herself, adapted and persevered.

A couple weeks ago it occurred to her that as the Yearbook Editor in Chief and lead photographer she was in a unique position to have witnessed her Senior year of high school from a pretty informed perspective. So she threw her hat in the ring to give a graduation speech. This is consistently a privilege given to the highest achieving students so she was very doubtful of her chances.

So she put her shyness, social awkwardness and introversion all to the side and wrote a great speech. She auditioned before the panel of school faculty with all the Asian and other school brainiacs she was sure would get the nod. Well I just about popped a button when she told me today she had been selected to give her class graduation speech!
If we all threw our problems in a pile, and you saw everyone else's problems-- you'd take yours back.

No honestly, its very cool that she learned something that it probably took me until my mid-thirties to learn.

Take some tissues with ya to graduation!

Something to be very proud about, sounds like a great kid.
The older I get, the better I was. I also forget my password and have to have Len reset it for me
