We haven't had hardly a drop of rain since July 18th.
Finally, rain is moving up from the Gulf, and we got a blessed 1/2 inch, so far, with more predicted, this afternoon....south Loozana got pounded with 6 inches, but I sho 'nuf don't want THAT much.

Summer is FINALLY here........just when I'm headed to deer camp to bush hog and run chain saws and such. Geez.........

Our dove season opened this morning....the rain really screwed up our dove hunt....had birds Friday, before the rain, now, they are scattered to kingdom come, and just lazing around on a few power lines....grandson killed an armadillo and a paper cup

I guess Texas opened also. My buddy just sent me a pic of his morning hunt.
Edit: Just received an update and he said he has 36 so far.
