How much longer will antlers grow?

This guy keeps getting bigger. I *think* I have him on camera last January... Although he was MUCH bigger then. But exact same rack.
This was taken last night. They're about done growing aren't they?

This was taken 50 yards from my back deck. I have to be REAL careful if I want to shoot anything. My liberal neighbors would shit their pants. I'm limited to crossbow (which I don't have yet). I did shoot one last year down there.... With thumps thirty thirty... God was that loud! OOPS!
No mister neighbor... Wasn't me that shot!

NICE buck! He has a rack on his head AND one growing out of his butt!

Ummm, you DO see TWO sets of antlers, don't you? How fast can you re-load a crossbow?

Then shoot the does. You weren't asking about if the meat was done growing, you were asking about the antlers.

    P.S.
    Y'all got a good kicker........

Yes we do. And he's a nice guy to boot (pun intended)

Actually... The more I think about it, I think I have this guys daddy on film. This one looks way too small to be the big 6 I saw last year. I'll try to dig up that pic and post it. And let the deciding commence.

Shoot 'em both and you'll have a 12-point at minimum.

Arty, the answer to your question depends on your region and amount of daylight....shortened daylight hours, stimulates an increase in testosterone levels, which in turn reduces the blood flow to the velvet....that is when antler growth ceases, and the velvet begins the dying and drying process, and hard antler begins to form....whatever rack he has got at that point is the rack he will have, until he sheds his rack, or breaks it off, fighting during the rut
Again, depending on your region, velvet growth generally ceases, during mid-August to late September.
