Good Fishin' Rod Sale @ Cabelas......

Cabelas has their Tourney Trail rods on sale this week at 50% off.
I got one of these rods before we went to Montana, and paired it with a Shimano spinning reel.
So far, it has turned out to be a great rod. The one that I got was a "Medium Light" 6 1/2 ft unit.
I was at the semi-local Cabelas store down here this past weekend, and picked up another one (for Di).

I'd put this over in the Fishing Forum, but nobody would see it.

That's a heckuva price. Has anyone ever tried the Cabelas branded reels?

I've not personally tried them but my son and my BIL both have Cabelas branded line counter reels that they bought in a combo package and they both really like them. I looked them over pretty closely and they look like they're very well made.

Yeah. Back when I bass fished I used the Prodigy baitcasting reel. It did fine, good reel. That was when they were cheaper........and went on sale sometimes for $30.00.
