    Test time

There seem to be some reasonably smart folks on here, so who can tell me what the insignia is for on the swiss army knife we found while pheasant hunting?

    IMG_1926.JPG

Though my nephew was pretty tickled to find it, I am guessing it means more to the gent who lost it so trying to find out what I can about the knife so I can narrow down who's knife it might be.

    Any thoughts?

    P.S.
Those are NOT my fingernails, that is my daughter holding the knife.

No clue. My guess would be a gift to employees with the company logo. Very common with Swiss Army knives and Zippo Lighters. The trick is figuring out what company it is.

My bet is its some sort of camping insignia for some scouting organization.

    either that or its viking.

You may want to try searching on eBay for similar items. Something may pop.

Maybe that's a weird "A" for Army ... and it belongs to a 3-Star General!

I think its a tent and its some sort of scouting logo. Prolly not boy scouts but some other group local to the area.

The more I look at it, I think Barry may be onto something. I don't think it's BSA related. But, it does look like the triangle is coming into folded hands (as if in prayer) to form the inset arrow. The three stars could stand for something like the God, Family Country of the BSA fleur de lis.

Three of anything, like the stars, could be the Holy Trinity as well. Either that or the devil...

OK, here's what I found. It's a Victory flag designed by Stewart-Styring for the Weyerhaeuser Steam Ship Company that had ships in the Victory Fleet during WWII. The 3 stars stand for the company having 51-75 ships.
    I've posted the links below.

Dang! I KNEW I'd seen that logo before ... just couldn't place it. We drive right by a Weyerhaeuser plant on the way to one of our favorite Chinese restaurants in Tampa. I believe they make cardboard boxes there. Duh!

    Good eye Bubba!

Isn't Weyerhaeuser a tree place? And wasn't this found in North Dakota? Unless there's tree farms up there I guess.

    Must've been a visitor.

Very impressive work guys but now to figure out who the heck from that bunch is involved in a tree business. There were a number of folks there from out of state but none that I know of that is a lumberjack.

I still say it's some sort of Masonic devil worship deal...
