This just adds to the feeling that LEO's are not thought much of right now.

BLAST!
Unfortunately, when they catch the scumbag(s) that did this, the punishment will probably be a "slap on the wrist".
I wish they'd bring back keel-hauling, but that's not likely to happen.
More proof that some people just need to be shot.
A happier note to add to this story. Sometime overnight, some anonymous person cleaned up the headstone for the family.
Sometimes, I wonder what this world is coming to.

I am unable to comprehend what some people have concocted as the "truth" in their heads in regard to LEOs now. I think the media and lack of journalistic integrity is the main catalyst but there's more than that at work here. It's a sad, sad reflection on our society.
If we all threw our problems in a pile, and you saw everyone else's problems-- you'd take yours back.
"He needed shooting" is a well worn, valid, defense in the South. Or at least, it used to be.
WARNING - Due to the rising costs of ammunition, warning shots will no longer be given.
This may be a stupid question .... but does anybody, who did not grow up in the 60's, still refer to cops as "pigs"? My suggestion would be to glance around the immediate neighborhood for some dufe in his 60's who has had a chronic problem with law enforcement.

It's still pretty common, but now it seems that "murderer" or "racist" is more common.
I guess I'm out of the loop ... it's always been "Officer" to me .. with a lot of "yes Sir and no Sir" thrown in.

Same here, Jim. I have to say I've never been treated with anything but respect by the LEO's I've come into contact with. (Even when I was young, dumb and up to no good.)

That's just your white privilege and latent racism showing. Don't be silly.

Or, if you want to dress, talk and act like a thug, don't be surprised if people treat you like a thug.
