New pup at home
Left at 0700 yesterday and caught the 1015 ferry to the mainland. Met the breeders (a real nice couple), caught the 1515 back to the Island and got the little guy home last night around 1900. A long day! I'm finally getting tired of ferry rides so this might be the last time I leave here this year.
Carried him into the kitchen and set him down and he piddled about half a gallon onto the lino so the place is christened. A sweet pup and pretty quiet but then he was pretty tired so that might change. He slept well last night so hoping tonight will be the same as I have a monster flu bug attacking me now. Not the best time for a baby in the house but what can you do other than suck it up.
Man, I had forgotten how needy an 8 week old pup is and I think we might be a little nuts to do this at our senior age but he sure keeps you moving which is good, I guess.
Anyway, will try to post a pic, if I can remember how to do it here, so you all can see just how handsome he is.
