I hate this weather into march. But I couldn't deal with Thump's boring weather. Been there.......hated it enough that there are two places I would dread having to go back to......California (not because of weather) and Florida (solely because of weather and lack of natural features). I may go, but boy.......I'd hate to live where things are that boring. SO for all the whining I do (and I'll whine again in August, trust me), I prefer changes and variations to boring hot.

I like all 4 seasons but this winter just came real late and I was already getting spring fever. I drive over a large creek that I use as a "gauge" to know what my rivers are doing and the fucking thing has been frozen with fucking snow-the-fuck cover for the last 3 weeks and it's gonna fucking snow again tonight!

FUCK! I was gonna try not to cuss in that one. Fucking-stupid-fucking-snow-ass-bitchass-fuck-snow

Len, it's only a cuss word, if you frown or grimace, while saying it.

All kidding aside I'm really wondering what affect all the crazy weather in the northeast and south is having on the wildlife out there?

Up here Feb. set the all time record for the coldest average daily temps. Our bay froze over again this year and they say that over 85% of the great lakes are ice covered.
Last year it took until late April for the ice out. Lake Superior still had ice into June. Lots of pictures were posted of people sunning on the beach with big ice flows just off shore.
Pasted up going to the sunny South this year, weather didn't look that great for the 1500 mile trip and we have to much stuff on the calendar up here to leave for our usual 3 week trip.
Can't say that I really missed it either.
The older I get, the better I was. I also forget my password and have to have Len reset it for me

Sleeting here all morning and snow expected the rest of today and tonight. Not much punk around here yet though and it looks like we might escape the worse of it here in Owasso, USA.

    Sunny blue skies here.
    Everything is in bloom

32 this morning calling for high of 55!!!!

My rody bush, plum, apple and flowering cherry trees are all in bloom. Daffodils and crocuses are up.

A hard frost now, will kill a lot of plants around here.

They aren't suppose to be in bloom yet.
Hope the apple trees in eastern wa are doing ok.

Same as Sunshine. Warm and sunny! Mowed the backyard yesterday (did the side the other day). Kinda early to get the lawnmower out but it sure needed it.

We are forecast for between 5 and 10 degrees below zero tonight and then all the way to 40 above tomorrow with highs in the mid-50's by early next week. The cool part is that I am sure we will have at least one more good blizzard before things warm up for good.

ain't likely washing will do any good, might want to consider a creosote dip

Ha, you got that right, QA.

Local weather man just came on, and said he had never, in all his years as a weather man, seen anything like this....Vicksburg, MS has 80 degree temp., and Nat'l Weather Service just issued a Winter Storm Warning for there.....it does sound sorta weird.

Total whiteout. Looks like a foot of snow out front door.....but it's all ice. Movement here just stopped. Period.

I have milk, bread, and tv for now.

Crank up that old science project, and cook up a triple batch, and enjoy yourself.
