    Lake Co-9 "Poachers" [:^)

I had a reallly good suprise this weekend. Ol' Cap'n and Artie loaded up and headed down here to "God's Country" to pay me a visit, get the 50cent tour of The Farm, and catch a few of those Lake Co-9 fish!!!! I'm still not sure which one was the bigger draw....visiting with me or catching those fishies.

I think the fellers must have had some kindof competition going on, because ol' Cap'n was slayin' them left and right. We all caught a fair amount of the representative population of the lake. A goodly number of "buck bass", a few Copper Nosed Bluegill, and a few NICE catfishes. Prolly still just a fuzz early for the big girls to be biting.

THANKFULLY, the weather cooperated and we had a very nice afternoon of fishing! That, and my pains decided to hold off for the day (Thank You, Jesus).

All in all, it was a VERY nice visit....and just what this ol' boy needed. Seeing some good friends at a time that I really neeeded the support. Thanks guys, I know that was a hard drive for a quick visit, and I surely do appreciate it.

Ya'll aren't gonna win any beauty contests but that right there warms my heart in spite of the rampant fugliness

If I tried to strike "the pose" in #2 I don't think I could ever stop laughing long enough to pull it off.

Yep, #2 is a classic Captain pose! Why did I end up with a neck ache after lookin' at those pics a few times?

Well the company was great and the trip although a fast one was MORE than enjoyable. Seeing NINER and his wonderful wife and the bonus of meeting her great sister was all my pleasure.

I thought Arty might give me some competition but he was like other Va Dufes I've fish with..... Sorta light weight in the fishing CATCHING department. Made short work of him and theN Loaned him a fish long enough for him and Niner to strike my patented pose. :-)

Thanks for putting up with us Niner and I hope we can get back for a re-match.

Niner, as Cappy said, the pleasure was ours. It was very nice to meet your BETTER HALF and I do mean BETTER! Good Lord is she a keeper!
Especially now that she knows how to make corn bread!
Your farm is absolutely gorgeous as well. What a slice of heaven!

Cappy, You gave me a rod that was obviously cursed by some Mt Croghan witch doctor then expected me to catch fish with it!

Sumpin' tells me, you need to schedule a G/H pig slay followed by a big ol' BBQ!

He could handle the slaughter if his shoulder lets him rack that bolt fast enough, but he'd have to cater the BBQ!
