    More kids fishing....

Not sure I had posted this here, I think not.

fishing the New River for small mouth.

I havent edited many of these.... These 2 is the same fish. This was in Holston Lake TN, dduring May 2012 cicada hatch.... We nailed the carp with cicadas.... That was the last fish of the day... Loved to see Esteban handling those large fish. He might be autistic but dang, he loves to fish...

    Later...

Wow. I never thought of using them for fish bait, let alone for carp. That looks like fun.

We have three 17 year hatches this year in Oklahoma. Missouri and Arkansas have both 13 and 17 year hatches coming. The last timecthat happened was about 18 years ago and I have never seen anything like it. The ground was literally crawling with them . you couldn't hear yourself think.

I've used May beetles for panfish and they are awesome bait, especially in creeks and rivers. Heathens call them June bugs but they ain't june bugs. They are May beetles. My wife won't be convinced of this. She is wrong though.

    Very cool video Nandy!
Looks like a load of fun. I've fished the New several times myself. Great small mouth waters.

I've been whitewater rafting on the New ... but it was obviously a different area than you were fishing!

Thanks guys. We are leaving Thursday for 3 1/2 days of fishing for trout in TN. He has not fished for trout in a bit since he cant stand for too long but I built him a seat and tried it october last year and he seemed to do fine. We might float the Watauga so that will be an easy day for him, but the other 2 days and change will be wadding. We shall see...

I haven't seen him in quite awhile. I'll have to look him up.
