Hey, QA!! This is a political comment..............

Just letting you know so you don't have to open this one.

Y'all write down today's date.......as the Beginning of the End. Like Ross Perot before him, Mr. Trump is going to absolutely ensure that a Clinton is the next President (although once elected, I predict she will revert back to her last name of Rodham, as she did pre-1980). That is my current prediction (Of the day). I made almost five hundred dollars in my lifetime as a trained analyst with a high level of expertise, and my view is that this is mathematically inevitable if HairBoy runs 3rd Party.

You really think he's gonna stay up in the polls? I don't think that asshole will be a factor in any election.

Oh he'll be a factor. He'll be the Ross Perot factor that elects another Clinton.

Man I just don't see the staying power.

What do you think the odds are of Bernie Sanders doing the same thing?

hmmmmmmmm. Depends on how close he is to Hillary. He's more of a radical left than Trump is radical right. But still, there's a ton of Lefties that feel Obama didn't go far enough Left, so........who knows.

    That'd be almost funny..........Four Candidates.

Heck, you'd think it was 1860..........either that, or Canada.

Oh.......and the staying power is different for Trump. He has $10B of money to blow, and a $10000000000B ego.......... and a TON of support from the far right that are sick to death of same old/same old.

It's an entertaining one, if nothing else. I wonder how much Trump is really "hurting" the conservative cause. I agree with some that it could drive middle of the road folks to lean left in the elections. I also think that some of what he says it's actually jarring some things loose for many conservatives. So that when he exits the race, they're still thinking "You know what, China really IS eating our lunch. Our immigration policies ARE disgraceful. And so on." they may be more likely to go to the polls.

Just a thought. I think there's some tangible positives to Trump running his pie hole like he is.

No matter when, this will be the most divisive election I've seen since I was born 29 years ago!

agree. But if you wonder..........follow me around the internet..........the Southern Internet.....and listen to what a majority (believe it or not) are saying. Makes this place look like a Socialist Training Camp. I can promise you, the "good ole boys" are absolutely giddy with someone who sticks it hard and nonstop in the face of the establishment. Right now, they'd follow him off the cliff. Their mantra is "No politician is ever going to turn this around, there's too much money behind him........but this guy doesn't care".

So yeah........he can mess up the conservative vote by a WHOPPING margin.........and he probably will. And he won't drop out because he loses some primaries. He'll just say "Well, the GOP establishment ran me off, so I'll go it alone"........and that will whip up the Good Ole Boys even further.

    You watch.

The Republicans will NEVER do a damned meaningful thing about immigration. The far right wants us to build the Great Wall of China between us and a neighbor country we are friendly with, and they won't even entertain the idea of any kind of documentation process for existing illegals unless they are considered criminals first and treated as such. Meanwhile, the center of the party is trying to court the hispanic vote by basically espousing what was a Reagan plan to begin with but later adopted by the Democrats. That ain't gonna fly one bit. So we have intertia.

One more thought........the one no one is asking.

Tell me the result in this country should he actually win the whole shebang??

I imagine that'd depend on who he would select as his cabinet. With his lack of experience And corporate leadership style I'd bet he'd not get anything done without it being driven by the Cabinet.
Other than that, I don't know. Hell, Minnesota survived Jesse Ventura, Michele Bachman, and Al Franken. Shit might be more unbreakable than we think! And Alaska survived Sarah Palin.

    Well........yeah. That all makes sense.

I just see a certain group(s) in this country absolutely burning it down if he were to win.

I'll tell you what I posted on another site to answer the question of "Is his intent to actually hurt the GOP?".......

    _____________________

His intentions??? I think it's clear his intentions are driven by one of the biggest egos I've ever witnessed. He beats, um....Dieon Sanders......Floyd Mayweather.......um......everyone! So, I am 100% convinced his intentions are to run on any party ticket that will have him, and then believe 1,000% that every American will fall in line with him and vote for him, and he can't lose.

If that were even remotely possible, I'd back him.

Since it's not, he is ensuring Hillary's victory. She now doesn't have to campaign, doesn't have to talk, doesn't have to debate (and thus doesn't have to screw up)......she can just sit there and run the table.

Your conservative boy Lindsey Graham has a more realistic view on immigration. He openly acknowledges the right has to bend, to provide a path to citizenship to people already here. I think that's the only way either side will get a semblance of what they'd like.

But yeah, it won't happen because of BOTH sides.

I honestly don't get the immigration thing. Well, the "illegals" I mean. I just can't seem to wrap my head around it. It's like ... if I go out and rob a bank, are the dickheads in Washington gonna say to the FBI, "Awww, he's already got the money ... just leave him alone and let him keep it!" ?

For the life of me, I don't get it. I've traveled the world extensively and I don't think I've ever been to ANY country where I could sneak in without documentation and simply set up house-keeping ... and be considered "legal". Heck, even the one's we DO deport, we give 'em a free ride to the border or a plane ticket home! Anywhere else, you go to jail until they decide to deport you. If you don't have the money for a ticlet, you STAY in jail!

Well I toldja he had some pretty good redeeming qualities.

Now my question is: if the center of the party is really the majority of Republicans, which is what their demographers sincerely hope, then Jeb Bush is the middlingest of the middle. Do you think he really has a chance? And believe it or not, my theory is if he really does win the nomination it may end up splitting the Democratic party simply because people will really recoil from another choice of Bush or Clinton.

    Right, Jim.

See, Barry, I could have politicized this too.........but you'd have called me on it. I could have typed your words...........but from MY view, and said:

The Democrats will NEVER do a damned meaningful thing about immigration. The far left wants us to open all doors between us and a neighbor country, and they won't even entertain the idea of any kind of documentation process for existing illegals even if they are criminals. Meanwhile, the center of the party is trying to court the hispanic vote by basically capitulating totally to the Latino Vote. That ain't gonna fly one bit. So we have inertia.

But you would see that as total politicization. That's because you want the GOP to compromise their position to match your uncompromising position.

And, QA........you can just not open my posts if you want. I've posted on CWD in deer, trips to Talledaga, and all kinds of things. So, no, you ain't right...........sorry. But this IS an internet chat site.

Trump will not have staying power. He's far to brazen and open in his speech. A select group may like that but the general population is looking for someone significantly more white-washed. Right or wrong he says exactly what he thinks and you can't win doing that. One thing I think he would fix, and Hillary will make far worse, is corporate taxation.

Everyone gets so upset that Apple has $200B overseas, and companies Like Microsoft and Google are also keeping most of their $$ overseas. I don't get the problem. They're businesses and it is far better from a tax standpoint to keep that money out of the US. Of course, a side affect is they can't use it in the US to expand and develop solutions in the US....Whose fault is that!

He won't have staying power in the GOP realm.

He has $10B of staying power of his own, before he raises a dime.........and an ego to match......and he's here till the end.

    Lawzy, I hope I'm wrong.

I'm not worried about you or anybody else politicizing anything. After all, I think the title of the thread says its a political thread.
