    Mess'O Fish!

Two friends and I put in an all nighter Friday. We caught upwards of 80 fish, but didn't keep them all. Here are the rainbow trout, walleye, and perch we did keep. It was an exceptionally fun night of fishing!

Nice. Although I used to give TW a hard time about it, the few times I've had walleye it was delicious.

I generally don't care for fish (neither does Big Sky actually), but I can eat Walleye for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In fact, I HAVE done just that while bear hunting in the North Woods ... many times.

Trout is many times just a bit too "fishy" for me, but the perch is fine ... 'course, I believe Walleye is actually in the perch family anyway.

    Nice! That sounds like fun!

ummm, since the rest of the dudes are asleep at the wheel. Why do you have a tree stand for fishing?

    Day-gum good mess of fish!
Looks like you planned on releasing them..... In grease! :-)

You got trees out there big enough to hang that stand in?

Arty it was the only trash fish of the night. It's a white sucker, that's the bad news. The good news is that it makes great cut bait for walleye and burbot. Hence the reason we kept it.

    Burbot?

    Is that a wine?

(Reminds me of the Jerry Clower story. He said he sat in a restaurant once and listened to a man and his wife order wine from the next table. He said he didn't hear them perfectly, but it sure sounded like they were saying "Possum Up a Gum Stump" and "Chevrolet Coupe' on the Highway"..............
