Well, since y'all are all being nice and quiet, I think I'll....

.......take my wrong-computer-using, non-Toyota-truck-driving, right-wing-political-viewing, wrong-phone-owning, no-manual-skilled, poor-shooting, no-Indiana-friending, wrong-GOP-candidate-backing, overweight, out of breath, sick, uncoordinated, and broke self fishing tomorrow. I'm sort of sure it'll be Thursday.....

Feel free to argue amongst yourselves without recrimination.

    Later..........

Dang Bucky. I wish I lived close to you! I'd listen to you complain as much as you wanted to as long as you kept me on fish. That wouldn't be a problem, would it?

I'd put you on as many as you put me on.

nah, you know the answer. I'd take you anytime you wanted, and while this wasn't complaining, here is the onliest place I'm like that. Don't nobody here know who I am! Heck, if I shaved my head and quit posting here, I could join the WRP.

I'm sure the complaining would not be a problem ... but keeping you on fish?

Actually, most of that was closer to bragging than complaining!

Overslept (doncha hate that?), now I'm gone. Buh-bye!!

Threw back 4X that many. The tiny little bass were everywhere. You had to beat 'em off with a stick. Musta been a big Bass Orgy a few weeks/months back.......literally millions of 'em, everywhere that crappie also were, about the length of your hand or less. Acted like they were starving to death. Drove me nuts!!! Hard to get the bait through 'em, but if you did, the crappie were layin' on the bottom in about 8-12 feet of water.

Weather was nice, too. Heck of a nice day to be out.

Nope. I may rest up a bit and go back Monday, when the Lesser Bozos are at work (except for all the Barbers, Firemen, Medics, Cops, Store Owners...................)

At the farm we finally got a LITTLE. Over the past two weeks we have had a combined total of just barely over an inch. It came as 3 tenths here 9 hundredths there and the biggest was .47 tenths at one time.
At NC home we got a good rain just over 4 inches in two hours (most of it ran off) but just up the road literally 4 miles they had two major storms back to back in two days totaling over 10 inches. Lots of folks flooded out and lots of wind and lightening damage.
Yet still the SC farm is powder day. There have been big storms go just to the north and just to the south but no good soaking rain there. This is the first time in my life I've seen Johnson grass roll up and turn brown like corn.....

Man. That is awful. We've had the strangest weather year I can ever remember. Ice and snow and wet out the wazoo all spring.....it started on Valentine's Day and didn't let up for months. Never saw that before. Then it flooded, and rained like Noah was watching. Then it just turned hot, wham. Like 100+ all summer. Dried out finally, and now not enough rain. Wed it poured down. Yesterday was like late September. Won't last, but it was a blessing.

Who knows what Fall and Winter hold??

But clearly the sides of the country are getting some extreme weather, both of them. Just awful out west............but becoming sort of normal, sadly.

Clearly, human induced climate change. (Glad you got a least a little rain at the farm, Cap.)

We had a very wet spring and the 2nd wettest June in recorded history. Since then, it's been really dry and all the evening thunder storms have seemed to part around us. Makes me glad I don't have to make my living off the land. I have a lot of respect for those of you who do.

    Amen.

And clearly, all we have to do is convince China to stop coal mining, eliminate all combustion engines and tobacco, use solar power only, and all weather would be wonderful yet again like it was in ........... um....... um.... well, 'back then'.......
