    A Boy and His Robot

For youse dufes who aren't on Facebook and aren't yet tired of my robot videos-- Here's my son's robot. I'm really proud of him. For 16 years, he never told me what he wanted to do until this year. He said, "Dad, I want to build robots..."

"Great," I said, "Let's build robots then."

    [redacted]

Of course, I helped him when he needed it, but he designed and built it. He's applying to some fancy robot schools.. Fingers crossed.

I've been keeping up with that on Facebook. Me and my boys both think that's ultra cool!

Ok, now what did he say??

Impressive! I remember my science fair projects in school ... his makes mine look like a Tinker Toy project! (I was fascinated by radio and usually dabbled with that type of thing)

You need to send him to school in Japan ... I've never seen anyone as fascinated with robot technology as they are! (Or maybe MIT would be closer to home)

Anyway, congrats to you both ... a good/smart kid and a dad who's involved. I can't believe how he's grown since I saw him last. Dang!

Dude! Loved the part around defending his use of the 12v. Great job by the boy. There was also a little chuckle early on when he was speaking of challenges he faced right as he cuts to a shot of him working up close to babbage while his hair completely blocks his view

I hope he takes off like babbage on a 24v system!

Thanks, Arty-- If your boys are interested in doing something similar, Alex is going to be posting more details. Most of the code was copied off the internet; there's a ton of info out there.

No at FB we have internal groups for communication intra-company. I think the Oculus team would find this really cool.
