    Ready or action.

Well picked up the new boat this morning, got all the equipment changed over. 12 rods and massive amount of fishing gear.
This area is still suffering from the effects of the flood and Winyah Bay is basically full of fresh water. It's really moved the big Bull Reds off the bay and out to salt water.
So the plan is to break a bottle of PBR on the bow of the new boat and head offshore...

Is this a fishing club type deal or just you going in on a boat with somebody?

I see you have a pee pole. that's what that pole in the back of the boat's for right? To hold onto while you pee off the back?

You don't need to grow UP ... just grow "out" (around the belly) and add a few years.

How does that boat handle rougher water Captain? Looks like it'd be rough as a cob wioth that flat keel like it has. Not an inch of wasted space though! Every inch is fishable on that thing.

I'm with Posty. Not persactly a deep-V ... looks like it would make a great flats boat! I'm assuming you stay pretty much in the bay or on the inland waterway? Looks a lot like a Boston Whaler. Purty rig ... I like the matching spare wheel!

Coming off the water now. Ended up with 12. I took big fish today with 57 pounds. Fighting it this soon after hernia surgery was not fun and lifting it for a picture was not fu either. But I was determined. image-2834522759.jpg

We mostly stay in the bay or sound but we have gone about 20 miles out to the wrecks. It handles rough water well and stays dry as a bone. The ride is really not bad. It is a scooter when you need it to.

Oh and Bite me Thumper. I've lost just over 30 pounds since the 3rd Saturday in March.

You are right I was/am not suppose to be lifting yet. But the really hard part was actually fighting the fish. That pulled me as much as the lifting. My buddy make some good video of me fighting the big fish but the file is so large he cannot email it.
If I can figure how to transfer it from his phone to mine I'll see about posting it.
We are putting in now and we are going after smaller slot/keeper redfish or puppy drum.
