    Ready for morning

Came out to Swan Quarter and fished in the Pamlico all afternoon. Came to the impoundment about 4:30 and the sky has been black with ducks flying into our blinds for the past half hour. It's ungodly! I bet 20,000 ducks have flown in on our blinds in the past 30 minutes. Should be about a 15 minute hunt in the morning. Take Care, Captain. http://youtu.be/rXzUTC3h2xc

Back in the day I didnt like when they flock that dense. I like to take hours before I limit rather than limit in 20 min. However, I find it hard to stop shooting if they are flying...

Yes there are many pintails here. I shot one blue wing real drake and one wood duck drake. There is a zillion ringies here and we could have limited out in 5 minutes of we had shot them but we passed all them. Two spoon bills.

We don't get as many pintails on our flyway here. Sure wished we did. Those chocolate heads are beautiful on the sprigs.

You must've been going for the hollywood factor with a woody and a couple of those flashy spoonies!

And people who like to eat duck, both of them, say wood ducks are the best of the best.

Spoonies make great 'yote bait....they already smell like rotted meat, before they're even dead.
