    Like a kid at Christmas

Im up at 3AM. Couldn't sleep I'm so excited.

Around 8 this morning I will be headed west 5 1/2 hours to Dublin, VA. I'll check into hotel, then head out to find the check in gate at the Radford Ammo Plant so that I'll be familiar with where I'm going on Saturday AM.

A one day hunt, but on some real fertile soil.

There are some real sledge hammer bucks on this place and I'm real excited to get to spend a day in the woods. First time all season!

If there is a down side... I have to let the Bucks walk by. This is my first time drawn and all first timers have to shoot a doe first. But hell, I need some meat in the freezer at this point.

NEXT TIME I'm drawn, I'll get to shoot at horns.

Young does are tenderloin head to tail.

The really tender ones can be hung on your belt like a rabbit.
