I've been shooting some charity does for our widows and shut-ins in our community....2 days ago, I took a pot-shot at a big ole doe's head about 300 yds., so as to not mess up any meat.

She threw her head up, but then ran off....thought it was a clear miss....then, later that day, I went to another stand about 1/2 mile away....5 does paraded by, but I have been chasing a certain buck, so, I let them walk on by.

Then, I noticed the last doe in the line, shaking her head....looked at her thru my binocs, and noticed a hole in her ear, with just a trickle of blood....figured she had to have been the same doe that I shot at, earlier in the day.

Fast forward, to yesterday afternoon....I hunted a food plot behind our house....a big doe came out, right at dark, so I nailed her.

When I hung her up in the shop for skinning, I noticed the hole in her ear....I guess she was just
destined to feed some needy folks.
