    Coon hunting winding down...

My whole fall has been fubared with the whole eye thing and the warm weather.. (read that "mud"). Buddy and I got out for a whack at the 'coons yesterday.. Killed 7 but one hide was no good due to rutting activity. Starting to see a down-turn in the quality of hides.. but, they aren't worth much anyway and with prices the way they are - they'll soon reach virtual "varmint" stage. Take that you egg-eaters.

    That is so cool. Congrats.
    I'd love to do that.

You and me both, Larke. Let me know when you're going to road trip to Iowa.

Be a ball to get together sometime. This will work anywhere there's 'coons.

Hide, I haven't even started coon hunting, down here yet....February is my most favorite and succesful time to chase those little bastages....and, we still got 3 more weeks of deer season, then there's squirrel and rabbit season thru February.

Just TOOOO much fun to be had, down here in good ole 'ssippi !!!

HH, you sure get me all spun up with those fur bandit photos. You got it figured out. Btw, I just picked me up one of those Foxpro Inferno calls last summer. For what they cost a guy gets a lot of quality for the money. I can't believe they are under $200.00. It does more than the FX5 did that I bought 7 or 8 years ago and I paid $500.00 or more for that caller. Technology is amazing.

It is just a lot of fun, Troy.. Way more "instant gratification" than coyote or cat calling. I've got a couple years on the Spitfire now. Great call.. absolutely happy with the performance. Only problem is it only holds 25 calls. If you hunt 'coons, coyotes and crows you eat that up pretty fast. I'd like to add about 3-4 more 'coon calls to mine. I haven't checked with Fox Pro to see if they've added anything (coon calls) in the past couple years.
