    Meet The Rev (Pretty Cool)

My oldest son Aaron has been involved with falconry since he was in high school in one facet or another. However he had to take a long break while serving a mission and then going to college. Now he's about done with college, has a good job, and has a little time for things he enjoys again. So he got all his licenses and legal papers updated, and back in order, so he can participate in falconry again. He was able to obtain this beautiful little male kestrel. I'm sure they will have fun chasing everything from grasshoppers to small birds over the next year. He named the bird "The Rev". So without further delay meet The Rev.

Wow! What a beautiful bird! If I remember correctly, can't you only keep a bird for a year or so, then have to release it? That seems to ring a bell, but I can't remember the details.

That's cool! I remember the posts from before. Those had some awesome photos in them. It's great that he can get back into it again.

My neighbor is into it, he has a small Red Shoulder Hawk, a prairie Falcon and peregrine falcon he got a special permit for by lottery draw.

Nice bird! We have those here too. Fun to watch kestrels hunt, almost suspend in the air.

Kestrel is one of my favorite birds.. Bee out a number of times with redtail hawks.. Unbelievable dedication involved in falconry..
If you turn a dog loose to hunt – you’d better to be ready to deal with what he trees.

Very cool looking bird! I'd love to see it hunt.

I'm thinking The Rev would be a good inspiration for some new artwork.
