As a matter of fact, I bought some at Walmart a while back and liked it. When I went back for more, I couldn't find it, so I asked a stock clerk when they might be getting more in. He checked to see if they had any "in the back" and he came back to inform me they don't even carry it! WTF??? I wonder if they ordered a case by mistake ... or possibly tried it but it was a slow seller or sumpin'? Who knows?

Well, ya' got my curiosity up, so I went to the Wally World website. Here's the message I found there:

This Item is no longer available. We're unable to show you buying options for this item.

Jack Link's Beef Jerky Cholula Hot Sauce Beef Jerky, 3.25 oz

I'd pretty much forgotten about it and haven't bothered to look elsewhere.

Oh yeah, I figured it was available, I just never went to the trouble to look for it. We happened to be at Wally World picking up some munchies for a weekend trip and I figured I'd grab a bag since we were already there. It wasn't a matter of life and death.

I never considered Cholula to be hot sauce, more like a semi mild sauce. When I want hot sauce I use Louisiana habanaro hot sauce. but that's just me

Don't get me wrong, I like plenty of heat, but Cholula has a great pepper flavor. I'd agree with the mild rating.

Ditto! I can be serious competition in a hot sauce eating contest, but I like a lot of variety and use different sauces depending on what I'm eating. I'll prolly get slammed here, but on eggs and tacos (for example), I like plain ol' Tobasco.

I'm kinda the same way. I can take hot, but don't like it just for the sake of being hot. It's got to have a good flavor.

In keeping with other current topics.

Amazon prime. $23 for a big 4 pack. It'd be sitting on your door tomorrow and you never have to leave the house.

We use VERY little mail order and youse dufes fail to mention the ANNUAL $100 membership fee. I suppose if you use the hell out of it, you'd make that up, but it's not for everybody.

And that was why I asked Thumper. Folks that posted here that say they use it never said a word about the $100 fee. I signed up for TP, paper towels, and dog food. The savings on those three items alone will get me close to my annual fee. And we also order various odds and ends that have free shipping with Amazon prime.

Soon as I do some shopping around, I'm going to add my pool chemicals to it as well.

We use it so heavily that our return on investment comes very quickly without even considering significantly lower prices.

Lower prices on pajillions of products
    tons of helpful consumer reviews
    No shipping costs
    very rapid delivery
    huge time savings
tons of tv, video, movie streaming products included

You get your hunnert back very quickly.

    Real life example:

Our fridge needed a new water filter. I looked at the model number, went to amazon and plugged it in, filtered on only "prime" offerings, found a price well below anything else online and cheaper than manafacturer, clicked "buy it with one click", shit was on my doorstep the next day. I save a ton of time and effort, and money.

Speaking of hot sauce, I bottled my hot sauce today that I've had aging for several months. Got six bottles of red and six of green and one bottle I just mixed the leftovers of the two together.

First off, its hot. Hotter than the last batch that Mudward says would peel paint. And better flavor than last tme too.

    I'm happy wid it.

I had a bottle of your '09 (or possibly a left-over bottle of your '08 batch) and made pretty quick work of it. I even traveled all the way to your kitchen to pick it up, so it MUST have been good!
