I'm kinda sorta starting to think about buying a kayak fishing. Any of you guys ever used one? They're pretty popular around here for smallie fishing. Any advice on brands or features. Any thoughts on sit in vs. sit on?

Sit in more stable harder to paddle. Sit on easy to paddle and easy to tip.

Sit on top sounds like it might be a real adventure shooting Comoton's Rapids. Unlike some I know, I'm not a big fan of unplanned swims.

You might want to consider a NuCanoe Frontier.

I have an old town 10ft vapor sit in 'yak. I really like it a lot. I wish I had gotten the 12' model. I need the extra room plus when I'm full figured, pushing the weight limit. Dicks carries some nice 12 footers branded by field and stream that are very reasonable in price and outfitted nicely for fishing.
I can say mine's stood up to outright abuse. I throw it everywhere, it's bashed in to, scraped over, by and thru just about anything you find on a river.
If we all threw our problems in a pile, and you saw everyone else's problems-- you'd take yours back.

When I was into canoes, I bought an Old Town and later bought a vintage (aluminum) Gruman. In fact, I believe that Gruman is still sitting behind my buddy's barn in Ohio. (I have the title around here someplace)
Ticboy, I believe we were in an Old Town when I tried feeding you to the gators a few years back.
If I were you I'd get one with the pedal deals.

This pic ain't much to go on, but these are sitting behind a shed at an estate sale I'm going to tomorrow. Come on down ... we'll get 'em cheap!
Come on down Cappy ... looks like they gots stuff for you too!

If I lived there those lower limbs on that tree would be scuffed up.

Where's the cab? The Air conditioned? The Heater? The radio?
That tractor is for someone that spend a few hours a month on one. Not for someone that spend hours a day on it.
Hell a nest of Yellow Jackets would eat your ass up on that thing.

Ha! The guy t'wernt no dang farmer ... it appears to be a toy he used around the house. He has a garage STUFFED full of toys. I thought this was an interesting little accessory. Looks like a generator that runs off his PTO.

Now THAT I would be on like a tick on a hound!
I've been looking for one that runs on PTO and three point hitch hookup.
When Power is out at the farm the cows don't have water.
Might need one a little bigger for the whole farm but that would probably keep the most part running.

Was just down at my cousin's farm in Arkansas and he has a generator like that wired into his house. He lives far enough away from everything that power outages don't get fixed that quickly when they happen

That's the set up I'm looking for Posty. One I could hook a tractor up to and let the power run.
I have a whole home generator here at my NC house with a auto switch. Best money I ever spent. Power is out here no longer than 5 seconds.
