    John Prine...

One of you goobers here mentioned once they liked John Prine, Well he has a new album out with some good music on it including songs with Kathy Mattea, Allison Krauss, Lee Ann Womack and of course Iris Dement.
My all time favorite is the one he did with Iris Dement call in Spite of Ourselves!

Saw him a couple of years ago down in Tulsa. If you're a fan, he puts on an awesome show.

I go from song to song of his being my favorite. Storm Windows is probably the one I look for first if I want to hear some Prine. Then its Angel From Montgomery.

Odd, I don't mind his music, but I'm not a huge fan. I know nobody else will agree, but many times when i listen to Prine, for some crazy reason Arlo Guthrie's music pops into my head. Not that that's a bad thing.

Folk music casts a pretty wide net and I think both fit in that genre.

Excellent point. You're right. I just never thought about it that way.
