I went out to MD Anderson for my 3-month checkup back on the 9th (figuring I'd be back home by the weekend.
Had numerous X-rays, CT Scans and a THREE HOUR MRI on the 10th.
Saw my docs on the 11th.
My Oncologist said he could find NO sign of cancer anywhere in me.
My Neurosurgeon likewise said he could see no signs of cancer, and that my hardware looked OK in the scans.
Then I told him about the pain I've been having, and that I've kindof been walking "crooked".
He turned to his computer and started pulling up images of this time and last time.
In just a min he said he knew what the problem was.
The GOOD news is that it was not cancer related per se.
The not-so-good news was that one of the TITANIUM rods in my back was broken.
(Did I mention the word titanium??)
SO, on the 15th I checked into the hospital for "emergency" surgery to replace both rods with a stronger material.
Spend the next many days recovering.....
Yesterday the doc asked me how I was feeling and I told him I felt like going home!!
SO......the docs all consulted with each other and decided to discharge me.
Gonna be doing my physical therapy here instead of there.

Got home late last night .......toally exhausted.

Still sore as hell and still got a lot of healing to do.
Titanium rods........sheesh!!!
