    Chanterelle bumper crop.

Driving through the neighborhood and I noticed a patch of chanterelles. Got them and drove home the long way. Found enough for supper with some ribeyes then found a BUNCH I'll pick in a day or two when they get bigger.

Man-o-man, I can destroy a pile of shrooms!

Ummm, if you should happen to stumble across my favorite variety, could you grab 'em for me?

Ha! Lynn can take a big ol' Portobello, marinate it and grill it along with a nice steak. Dang! There's nothing better, and once you dig in, it's a tough decision as to which is the best, steak or mushroom.

Oysters are nuttin' but little globs of pig snot! Big difference.

    Oyster shrooms are good too!

I'm not confident enough in my mushroom knowledge to pick anything but morels. Those sure enough look good like they'd go with some fried crappies.

I'm not a fungiphile although I love to eat them. I'm afraid I'd miss one little subtle difference and be eating one minute and be standing at the Pearly Gates picking my teeth asking for St Peter the next.

Well, I guess you're not alone in that regard P-hole, evidently the shroom knowledge around this joint ain't all that great. Or, maybe I'm just showing my age. The pic I posted is from the "magic" variety of shrooms, I was just making a wisecrack. Back in the day, a bunch of us would head to the Colorado River (or Lake Mead in Vegas) for the weekend and we always had a special "shroom tent" set up for entertainment. Ha! I guess that was back in my renegade days ... the guy who always brought the shrooms, was also our coke dealer! Ohhhh, the good old days!

Airbud, Booger's boogers are not yellow/orange, theyare usually brown and gooey and instead of hardwood litter are usually found here.

Ha! I didn't even realize they're sideways! I was just separating them from the text because it was all jumbled up.
