    Back From Dogtooth

We had a great trip up to Dogtooth this year. The walleye gave us a little trouble until we got on the pattern. Len upped his personal best this year. No 30 inchers this year though. The bass fishing was much slower than we normally see. The fish we caught all had full bellies which were the best we could tell, crawdads. There must have been a molt of some kind going on. I mean these fish looked like they all had type 2 diabeetus. I managed my own personal best smallie(18 1/2).
We saw the northenr lights three nights in a row, quite a sight out on the lake. the beginning of the week was like summer and the rest was like November in Oklahoma. We were all layered up the last half of the week. Stable weather is almost always a trigger for walleye but we didn’t have it.
It was an awesome week of fishing in a beautiful place. And some awesome company too!

More pics later and I’m sure Len will add some.

W-w-what??? Is this a new post on GoodHunting? WTF? I wasn't sure there was anyone living around here lately!

Sounds like an awesome trip and it really makes me miss my annual trips up that way. Without my buddy (passed away a few years ago), the trips wouldn't be the same anyway. I may have to accompany you dufebutts sometime down the line to show you how to fish!

    Welcome home P-hole.

Note to self: We’re gonna need a bigger boat!

    Thanks Jim!

That’s a helluva a smallie! I’ve got the Northern Lights on my bucket list so color me jealous.

The trip is not for the feint of heart, nor princesses. Sorry.

Seems to be a common theme in your pics Len...Posthole catches bigger fish than you do.

He sure did this time around. I'll have Cap'n pay him my two dollars since he's already in to him for $4.

I doubt that feint of heart won many ladies

    Faint either
