It has been forever since I've posted any of my artwork. I just finished up doing a Grid Drawing demonstration for my students this morning. I thought perhaps some of you might enjoy a little peek at it.

I'd rather peek at the subject through a scope!
Beautiful work as usual Sky! I've always liked the fact you go for a realistic look. I've seen many wildlife artists do deer and each side of the antlers are a mirror image of each other. Ya' just ain't gonna see that in the wild.
Thanks for sharing!

Impressive drawing of a cool critter.
Jim, I drawz' dem da way I see's dem.
If I saw him during hunting season that would be true, but I've never seen one like that during the season. Out of season once or twice, but never during.
Nice work Troy! I’m looking at a watercolor of a turkey right now that has grown to be my all time favorite. I swear I can hear the birds singing when I look at that painting.

Viva Renaldo!
For some reason I don't recall the watercolor turkey.
Sorry for the glare and reflection!

Oh yeah, now I remember!
Good stuff
Wow.. just.. Wow
If you turn a dog loose to hunt – you’d better to be ready to deal with what he trees.
That turkey was based off an actual hunt. It was the first time I ever called in a turkey on my own. It is the turkey on the right.

Well, I may as well join in, but my photography skills suck big weenies. I wanted to post a shot of one of my most prized possessions (it hangs right over my desk), but like P-hole, I was having a heck of a time with glare. With a flash, that's all I could see, the reflection of the flash! So I tried without the flash and all I could see was the reflection of the lights from my ceiling fan and the sun through the blinds on my office window. I decided to post an old pic I took (with no glass) before I had it framed. Thanks Sky, it's not only a beautiful piece, but brings back fond memories of meeting you personally.

I enjoyed that day too Jim. It was a nice visit and I still can't get over how that young waitress was instantly smitten with you. Must be that Thumper charm or sumpin.
You just had to open that door, didn’t you Troy?
Now he’ll be impossible the rest of the day.

I hate to say it, but facts are facts. She might have been visually impaired as I was much younger and far more handsome, but she just couldn't see it for some reason.
Ha! One look at my avatar and you can clearly see my, incredibly difficult to match, good looks!
