Well, I still have a ways to go … I’m only at 295.

I forgot to mention, they pressure cook the gizzards and they almost melt in your mouth.

It’s just a little local joint and the old (surprisingly) white guy who owns it, has been there for 42 years. It’s a pretty rough neighborhood, probably 90% (or more) black, but they look out for him as he supports the community around the neighborhood. He feeds the homeless (gratis) in the area. I think if anyone messed with the old guy (in his late 70’s) or the business, the neighborhood vigilantes would dish out their own type of justice. The worry is, what will happen to the place if the old guy retires or health issues kick in? There are no family members interested in the place. There is one woman who has worked there since the day he opened, so I wouldn’t doubt she’d possibly end up with the place if anything should happen to him, but I have no clue really. I know we’d sure miss it if it were to disappear.
